A bunch of bands have been announced for the BBC Introducing stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
It’s sort of incidental news unless you’re planning to win tickets – the two day event sold out a while back now – but a gang of new acts are to descend on Exeter’s Powderham Castle on May 28th and 29th in a valiant effort to increase their airplay.
We mean to play a very good set. Obviously. Nothing to do with airplay.
Spring King, Izzy Bizu and Blossoms lead the way. The former will appear on the Saturday (28th) alongside Tiny Folds, Louis Berry, Declan McKenna, Wolfie, Cortes, Rosie Lowe, Jealous of the Birds, Barns Courtney, The Hunna, Shannon Saunders and Reuel Elijah. The latter two take Sunday alongside Black Foxxes, Emmi, Catholic Action, Vital, KYKO, Alice Jemima, Tobi Sunmola, Yonak, BB Diamond and James Cherry.
Elsewhere on the bill are headliners Mumford & Sons and Coldplay, plus Bring Me The Horizon, The 1975, Wolf Alice and Biffy Clyro. [sc name=”stopper” ]
