Reading & Leeds 2016 has added 70 new names to the lineup which already includes Disclosure, Biffy Clyro, Fall Out Boy, CHVRCHES and Haim.
With their debut album out, Spring King will be taking to the BBC Radio 1/NME Stage for a set we’re already expecting to be a whole bunch of fun. Joining them will be NAS, Tonight Alive and Black Foxxes
Elsewhere the Festival Republic Stage couldn’t be any more hype-inducing with VANT, The Magic Gang, Blaenavon and Beach Baby all out to prove they deserve the excitement surrounding them while Eagulls, Pulled Apart By Horses, Transviolet and Area 52 will also be putting in appearances.
“Reading & Leeds were the festivals we grew up with,” explain Blaenavon. “I remember seeing At The Drive-In in 2012 and having my face utterly melted. We’ve only played Leeds before, so we’re very stoked to have a proper go at both this year – the Festival Republic tent is probably our favourite stage as well. We’ll have some new music out too, so it’ll be wicked to try it out in a proper, frenzied festival scenario: abject dirt,” with VANT adding “”We can’t wait for Reading & Leeds Festival 2016. We all went as kids and dreamed of playing it one day. It’s such an honour to be there again this year on a bigger stage. See you in the pit!”
The Lock Up/Pit will play host to Beach Slang, SWMRS, Milk Teeth, Good Charlotte and Superheaven while for those looking to dance, The Dance Stage has your back with the likes of SOPHIE, Lion Babe, Friction and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man.
Frank Turner is promising something special as he opens the Main Stage while Little Simz, K. Flay, Kano and Yung Lean will be taking over the 1Xtra Stage alongside Maverick Sabre and Hoodie Allen.
Reading & Leeds takes place August 26th – 28th and the full line-up (so far) is as follows.
