St Vincent has been announced as the ambassador for Record Store Day 2017

It’s either that, or she’s about to work closely with the people of ‘Recorstorda’

In what’s already shaping up to be a big ‘ol year, St Vincent has been confirmed as the ambassador for Record Store Day 2017.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary on April 22nd, St Vincent (aka the sensational Annie Clark) will follow in the footsteps of previous ambassadors Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Jack White, Metallica and Chuck D amongst others in representing all that is good and great about supporting ya local record shop.

There’s a video capturing that exact moment where Annie found out that she’d be this year’s ambassador, if you pardon the confusion which sees St Vincent believing that she in fact has been made ambassador of the cheeky island of ‘Recorstorda’ instead…

I mean, that sounds like a place we want to head to really! Especially if they have great vinyl-flooring – we should all definitely give it a spin right?

As mentioned previously, 2017 looks bumper sized for St Vincent – with the recently premiered directoral debut ‘XX’ already screened at those fancy film festivals, and news that the hotly anticipated follow-up to her self-titled 2014 LP is on its way too. So that’s what we call a bloody good year right?!
