Teen Creeps debut their new video for lo-fi gem, ‘Sidenote’

The band recorded their upcoming debut with Rory Atwell.

Teen Creeps have shared a new video for their track, ‘Sidenote’. It’s an all-out indie-rock racket, best enjoyed while dancing like the chap in the video…

“‘Sidenote’ is the first track of the album and it’s also one of the first the band wrote for it,” says singer / bass player Bert. “It’s about not fully committing to someone and getting nowhere because of it. Feeling something but holding it off because you don’t want to get hurt again. When I wrote the words I had just come out of a relationship and wasn’t ready yet for a new one. I met someone but things went sideways because of this.”

The dancer in the video is Jules Jordens, an actor who is a friend of the band. “After we saw him do a funny dance cover to some 80s pop song, we asked him to lip sync to ‘Sidenote’,” Bert explains. “He showed up with an entire dance routine that perfectly translates the vibe and energy of the song. Plus, watching him go at it brings smiles on our faces.”

Recorded with Rory Atwell at Lightship 95, Teen Creeps’ debut album ‘Birthmarks’ is out on 6th April; it follows on from an EP in 2014 and a 7” in 2015.
