The 1975 top charts on both sides of the Atlantic with new album

‘I Like It When You Sleep…’ hits the Number 1 slot in both the UK and the US.

The 1975 are top of the charts in both the UK and the US, after scoring their first stateside Number 1 over the weekend.

Just days after topping the UK Album Chart, ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’ has shifted 108,000 equivalent units, including 98,000 pure album sales, to top the Billboard 200.

That means they beat Adele to Number Two, while Rihanna slips to Number Three. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘The Unruly Mess I’ve Made’ debuts at Number Four.

The 1975 are currently in the middle of a run of shows at London’s Brixton Academy, before they head off to play multiple shows in Manchester and Glasgow, as well as a date at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena.
