The Killers’ ‘Mr Brightside’ is back in the iTunes Top 40 after the band’s secret Glastonbury set yesterday.
The track – which already holds the record for the longest period in the UK Singles Chart Top 100 with a combined 166 weeks – has been given a boost after the band played it to close their surprise appearance on the John Peel Stage yesterday.
Currently sat at 34, it’s not the only song receiving a boost from the weekend, either. Foo Fighters’ ‘Best of You’ and ‘Times Like These’ sit at 36 and 37 respectively – presumably so fans can remember what they sound like when not extended over the better part of 20 minutes live.
