If you’ve ever wanted to hear Alex Turner singing in French, then your dreams are now a reality, with this new number from The Last Shadow Puppets.
Taking on acclaimed French songwriter Jacques Dutronc’s ‘Les Cactus’, it finds The Last Shadow Puppets in full-on art-pomp mode – backed by an orchestra and featuring Mr Turner busting some seriously frantic moves.
We can only dream to throw shapes like that.
‘Les Cactus’ is taken from the duo’s upcoming EP ‘Dream Synopsis’ which features the already-unveiled Leonard Cohen cover ‘Is This What You Wanted’, alongside covers of The Fall and Glaxo Babies. Packaged with new versions of recent album cuts ‘Aviation’ and (helpfully) ‘The Dream Synopsis’ – the EP is set to land on December 2nd.
