The second new 1975 album will feature a song from Matty Healy’s dad, Tim; the band have also teased what looks suspiciously like a setlist

It’s all going on.

The 1975 are releasing two new albums as part of their Music For Cars-era, and they’ve just shared a bit more info on the second one via Matty’s dad.

Tim Healy – who’s an actor from Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Corrie and stuff, ‘FYI’ – has donated a song he wrote nearly twenty years ago.

“Had a brill day recording a song I wrote when Matty was 11 he wanted it on his new album yippee you can hear it in April love you guys,” he posted on Twitter, followed by a snap of the pair in the studio.

The band’s first new album, ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ is coming later this year; the second, ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’ is coming next spring.

That’s not all the new 1975 news from the weekend, either – Matty’s popped a photo on Instagram that looks very much like the beginnings of a setlist… Manager Jamie Oborne has of course previously suggested that a new tour would be being announced “around August”.
