The Shins confirm new album ‘Heartworms’ + London show

James Mercer & Co have put the cherry on top with new track ‘Name For You’

With a New Year, comes new Shins (and we’re not talking about the body part) as James Mercer and company have dropped a brand new track whilst confirming details for that hotly anticipated new album.

Titled ‘Heartworms’, the record will be the band’s fifth studio LP and their first in over 5 years since the release of ‘Port Of Morrow’ back in 2012. Boasting 11 tracks, the album features the previously unveiled ‘Dead Alive’ (which landed back in October) and ‘Rubber Ballz’ which both made an appearance in their recent sets at End Of The Road last year and their own headline London show too.

The latest cut ‘Name For You’ is bristling with that magic that only The Shins can conjure up. Heart-born melodies and a bonafide favourite after the very first listen, it’s another set sign that The Shins are coming back strongly over the next year, so it’s time to get on board.

The Shins will mark the album’s release with a brief world tour which includes London show on March 29th at the Eventim Apollo. Tickets for that show go on sale on January 13th.
