Liverpool newcomers The Vryll Society have released a video for their sparkly new psych-pop track, ‘Shadow of a Wave’.
A preview cut from their as-yet-unannounced debut album, it precedes a UK tour this October that includes a stop at Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival.
“We wanted to make a simple classic video that showcased the band,” the band explain. “We took inspiration from watching videos of bands like Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones in the studio.
“In the video the camera pans from right to left as opposed to left to right to signify moving back in time, this was an idea from the director Peter Fearon. We used the less is more method which is something we sometimes use when writing as well so it’s a good way to link the videos with the music.”
