Adding a smashing little Saturday night treat to proceedings, The xx were joined on stage by Swedish electro hero Robyn at their Brixton Academy show last night (March 11th).
After Robyn supported the trio the previous night (March 10th), The xx invited her up for a spectacular version of ‘With Every Heartbeat’, complete with three-way harmonies and a shimmering light show to boot. Talk about a corker of a moment.
The xx continue their Brixton Academy residency tomorrow night (March 13th), wrapping things up on Wednesday (March 15th) after playing a staggering seven nights at the venue. The shows have been transformed into a special ‘Night + Day’ series – complete with accompanying exhibitions, unique support from the likes of Sampha, Cat Power and Francis & The Lights, and a special charity all-dayer from Jamie xx amongst other things.
