TRNSMT have started dropping teasers ahead of next summer’s event.
The festival have released an at-first-glance fairly innocuous video of a flickering logo, which fans have speculated looks an awful lot like the sound wave used by Arctic Monkeys for their 2013 album, ‘AM’.
The Sheffield band are currently recording working on the record’s follow up, which is expected to land sometime in 2018. “The new album will be out next year because ‘if it isn’t, we’ve got problems’,” reads a recent interview with bassist Nick O’Malley.
TRNSMT Festival 2018 will take place from 6th-8th July. This year’s bill hosted sets from Radiohead, Kasabian, Biffy Clyro, The 1975, George Ezra, Two Door Cinema Club and more.
