Tune-Yards’ Merrill Garbus has been announced as guest curator at this year’s Lamer Tree Festival.
Returning to Larmer Tree Gardens between 19th and 22nd July, Garbus is involved in curation across three stages of the event.
Speaking about new news, Garbus explains: “It’s a great privilege to be involved in the curation of Larmer Tree’s programming this year. I was happy to include women artists, all of whom I know from past projects and admire for their unique and brilliant voices, laser-focused on a future that is seldom represented in festival programming. I hope audiences will enjoy these artists as much as I do.”
The news comes alongside a stellar batch of new names for the event, including the impossibly exciting Let’s Eat Grandma, Goat Girl, Public Service Broadcasting and Ibibio Sound Machine.
They join a bill already including Susanne Sundfør, First Aid Kit and – obviously – Tune-Yards.
