After bloody ages hinting at their return, they’ve finally arrived. Two Door Cinema Club are back.
The band debuted a new track on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show as her Hottest Record earlier this evening (14th June). Titled ‘Are We Ready? (Wreck)’, you can check it out below.
It’s almost four years since the band released their last full-length, 2012’s ‘Beacon’. That all changed when ‘Gameshow’ drops on October 14th.
Speaking about the record, frontman Alex Trimble explains: “We’re not embracing the pop that’s going on now in a melodic or structural sense. The two biggest influences for me were Prince and Bowie – both total pioneers who straddled that line between out-there pop and avant garde craziness”.
