Vampire Weekend are set to make their live comeback this weekend, with a pair of shows in Ojai, California.
Their first performances in four years, it’ll also mark them making their first moves without original member Rostam Batmanglij. That leaves a vacancy in the live line-up – something the band have now filled.
Greta Morgan of Springtime Carnivore revealed she’ll be joining Vampire Weekend this weekend, tweeting a picture of a guitar pick emblazoned with the band’s name. A representative confirmed to Stereogum she’ll be providing keys, guitar and vocals on the full tour.

Morgan is, apparently, a distant relative of frontman Ezra Koenig. “I mentioned it to my publicist, who knew his publicist, and then I connected with him and we’ve become really good friends. And I live in L.A. now, and his sister Emma, who’s my age, has become one of my best friends,” she revealed to the The San Fransisco Examiner back in 2013.
It’s all about who you know, eh?
