VANT want ‘Peace & Love’ with their new track, announce debut album ‘Dumb Blood’

The album is coming, and it’ll land on February 17th

VANT have spent the year tearing apart venues, slaying festival stages and releasing riff after riff of explosive guitar-pop joy with a purpose. 2017 looks set to be no different, with the band confirming their debut album will be called ‘Dumb Blood’ and will be out on February 17th.

The announcement comes with another stormer of a number in the form of ‘Peace & Love’, a blistering yet hopeful cut that builds on the melodic edges of previous track ‘Karma Seeker’.

Speaking about ‘Peace & Love’, frontman Mattie Vant says:

“We finished writing ‘Peace & Love’ in the wake of the Paris attacks. Atrocities like these are taking place worldwide on a daily basis, but it’s only when something happens so close to home that it truly grabs the full attention of our society. We live on a planet that has forgotten what the words ‘Peace & Love’ mean and what they stood for in the 60s and 70s. The power of the peace movement changed the world forever but our unity is starting to slip. ‘Peace & Love’ have become throwaway words, fashion statements, cheap symbols that have lost their value. We need to reconnect with their true meaning because, more than ever, we are living in a time that really does need ‘Peace & Love’.”

VANT, who are currently on the road with You Me At Six, will be heading out on their biggest UK tour to date in November, culminating in a night at London’s Scala on November 29th.
