Bastille have debuted a brand new film about the making of their most recent album ‘Wild World’.
In a New Year’s message from the band, they explained: “There’s loads of new stuff to come from us in 2018, but for now – while we’re finishing up our 3rd album and our 4th mixtape – we’re excited to present ‘Help Me Chase Those Seconds’, a film about the making of ‘Wild World’ that was shot and directed by our friend Tom Middleton’.
Hello you lot. Before everyone gets stuck into their NYE nights, we just wanted to say thank you all so, so much. There’s loads of new stuff to come from us in 2018, but for now we’re excited to present “Help Me Chase Those Seconds” later today. pic.twitter.com/OJHygWuee6

Frontman Dan Smith claims the band’s next record will be about “trying to have a fun time with your friends”, while still acknowledging the challenging environment we live in. “Sometimes it’s necessary to hone in on the things that you love,” he told Beats 1 at the end of 2017. He also let slip it was currently nine tracks long – though the band’s contract says it needs to be at least ten. Best get back to work, then, Danny boy.
