You’re probably already familiar with Vevo’s LIFT series, where they take an act and bang on about them until absolutely everyone is aware that they’re bloody brilliant.
Their latest pick is our good chum-slash-chums Rat Boy, as Jordan Cardy and co build up to the release of his-slash-their debut album ‘Scum’ this August.
He’s following in the footsteps of the likes of Sam Smith, Blossoms, Years and Years and James Bay, which basically means it’s ‘quite a good thing’.
The first video from the series (yes, there’s more to come) is titled ‘Becoming’, and you can check it out first on Dork below. In it, Jordan explores his journey from making songs in the kitchen to being buzzier than a hive of giant bees.
Still to come in the LIFT series are a bunch of exclusive performances of tracks from ‘Scum’. Keep your eyes peeled on Vevo.com for those.
“We had a great time with VEVO,” says Jordan. “Thanks for having us – we loved when the monitors blew up!”
Rat Boy’s debut album ‘Scum’ is set for release on August 11th.
