Wavves don’t do things by half measures. They’re all about cranking things up to boiling point and riding the wave as it flies through everything in it’s path – as they do with new burster ‘No Shade’.
Clocking in at under two minutes, the fuzz heavyweight sizzles with urgency right from the get-go, sounding as if it’s been unleashed from a cage and sent flying into another orbit – taking no breaks or sideways glances, it’s all about heading in one direction. Just as we like things then.
‘No Shade’ is the latest cut to emerge from incoming new album ‘You’re Welcome’. Set for release on May 19th, it sits as the follow-up to Wavves’ 2015 scorcher ‘V’ and the sixth album in total from Nathan Williams & Co. If you’re not excited, then you bloody well should be, things are about to get ratcheted up to a whole ‘notha level.
