Wet unveil new tracks ‘The Middle’ and ‘Turn Away’

It’s the New York trio’s first new music since debut album ‘Don’t You’ was released in January

Electro-R&B makers Wet have had a pretty big year, and they’re rounding it out with the release of two new tracks ‘The Middle’ and ‘Turn Away’

Contrary to belief, the the former isn’t a Jimmy Eat World cover, but a soothing glide of a number that brings together the heart-felt highs of their debut – whilst ‘Turn Away’ is full of throbbing bass and menacing flourishes that show how Wet are a pretty essential listen if you want to pinpoint what 2016 sounds like.

Talking about the tracks to FADER, the band said:

“These songs are about being stuck in in-between places on a few levels. Being in the ambiguous place between the end of a relationship and whatever is next. Our country being between presidents and feeling the collective anxiety while everyone waits to see what kind of place this is going to be in the next few years. Being between album cycles right now but still touring on ‘Don’t You’. Everything feels very up in the air.”
