Enjoyed the Coachella live streams on YouTube this weekend? Well, things are about to get even better.
For the second weekend of the festival, 360 degree videos are being introduced. That means you can live stream sets while looking around the place – either moving your phone or tablet around, or dragging the view with your mouse.
Select performances will receive the 360 degree treatment, alongside spatial audio, which broadcasts at different levels depending on its real-life sources.
“Just as watching a concert in 360° can give you an unmatched immersive experience, spatial audio allows you to listen along as you do in real life, where depth, distance and intensity all play a role,” Neal Mohan, YouTube’s Chief Product Officer, said in a statement.
