Honeyblood are throwing a party at Latitude 2017

There’s some bands that when you look on a festival bill, you know full well that you’re guaranteed a good time. Like touch points in your day, some bands are simply born with that fizzing knack for a corker of a moment. It’s a place Honeyblood know all too well, growing and punching with an instinctive bite that means Latitude is treated to a scorching set from a band who deliver and deliver big as soon as the chords are switched.

Across two ripping LPs, Honeyblood have laid out a stunning range of ready-made riffers – put on full display in the Sunrise Arena. The shaking grooves of ‘Dragged Up’ light a fevers response from a packed out tent, whilst the twisting pop glory of ‘Babes Never Die’, ‘Ready For The Magic’, ‘Sea Hearts’ and ‘Killer Bangs’ blister their way into a grungey package of a band in staggering form.

Honeyblood’s set at Latitude was always going to be a party. It’s been clear for a while that they’re a band you could bet your entire pocket money on to be sensational. But what a glorious summer afternoon in July also confirms, is that they’re a band who’ll continue to light up bright flares in the sky at each and every turn.

“We’ve come all the way from Scotland for this, it’s taken like two days to get here – so let’s dance” declares Cat Myers from the stage. On this evidence, that group of dancers is only going to get bigger.
